Smile

A have a friend,
And right now she thinks life blows,
Even though she is as unique as a Lilly,
And as beautiful as a Rose.

I try again and again,
to cheer her up and make her smile,
such a thing powers the world,
and I haven't seen it in awhile.

So I write this now,
Hoping that she will read it,
And it will brighten up her day,
or make her grin a bit.

Or maybe with my luck,
She will just scoff at it and sigh,
No matter what she ends up doing,
I still had to try.

So this is to you,
And you know exactly who you are,

Who from you lives very far.
